October was home with a fever, so the kids, the dog, and I went down to a little rocky beach to inspect the -4' tide on Sunday morning. Talk about tough kids - we were there in the 40 degree, sideways rain, 35 MPH gale for about 1 1/2 hours with not a complaint. Found tons of good stuff... gunnels, urchins, limpets, gumboots, sponges, anenomes, and even a few juvenile king crab. Here are a couple of photos of Maille with her king crab haul...
