Somehow we missed this photo

This is from a while back, but the local paper chose a picture of Maille during her mini-horse competition for the final standings of the grand champions and reserve champions for all the fair entries across all categories...  Woo hoo!

Merry Christmas!

We just saddled up Maple - Maille took her for a nice stroll in the hay field on this beautiful Christmas afternoon. Maple belongs to some folks down the road who just use her for spring and summer therapy rides with their son. They heard how eager Maille was to have a horse she could ride, and we worked out a deal where we board her in exchange for full use. Maille couldn't be happier...

Finn was especially thrilled to see that Santa brought him the Ninjago Temple of Light Lego set that he's been drooling over for months...

And Elias enjoyed just about everything - especially the stocking stuffer glasses that make rainbow-colored candy canes appear around every Christmas light...

"Hey, Dad, how do you spell 'strictly"?

"Uh, you're using a word like 'strictly' in your letter to Santa?"

"Yeah.  The sentence is: 'I do not strictly demand these things…'"

-9 and squeaky cold today, heading to -15 with wind chills to -30 to -40...
