Finn's first day of preschool, September 1, 2009, at Auke Bay CoOp Preschool. Zero issues with adjustment, as he's got a few good buddies in with him, and he knows the place well from Maille's two years there.

Maille's first day of kindergarten... she's now a proud Auke Bay Orca. The first day was a bit rocky, but she's really excited and loving it now. It helped that she was given custody of the class pets - the 2 rats, Buddy and Brownie - for the long Labor Day weekend.

Lunchtime haul on a beautiful sunny day (a pleasant surprise that the forecasters didn't call for). Took the little ratty rowboat out, and confirmed that I've dialed in the sweet spot for dungeness crab in the cove just outside the office.... one female to toss back, and 15 keeper males! My best haul ever...
