Here's a photo of a wolf from an automatic trail camera that I set up
on a tree way up in the mountains... This is one my elk hunting
spots and I've heard and seen wolves in here before. The camera
triggers when there's motion in front of it, and it time-stamps the
image - this one was taken 9/15 (last Thursday) at 9:57AM.
There were probably more than just this one, but I had the camera is
set to take 5 seconds rest after each photo - plenty of time for a
wolf to move in and out of the photo.
Other sightings this past week during archery hunts: white-tailed and
mule deer (no shots), two black bears (including one that surprised
me, and me, it, at about 3 yards), turkeys, grouse, garter snakes,
grizzly scat, and a bull moose.
