Yesterday's Trip Out To Eagle Beach
Packed up the hibatchi, sausages, chips, and Girl Scout cookies (Maille's a Daisy Scout now...) and hit the beach yesterday. A stiff wind out of the northwest kept things a lot cooler than we planned, but I managed to keep the grill lit in the bed of the truck, and I was really the only one to complain. Maille and Finn had a great time playing in the granite cobbles and sugar-like sand, balancing on washed up logs. and making trips down to the water's edge with the bucket. October and Elias mostly stayed warm inside the truck, soaking up the sunbeams through the window of Mossy Wind.

A low center of gravity helps.
Finn at his preschool ski day at Eaglecrest a couple weeks ago. We left the thick fog in the valley to find bluebird skies and 45 degrees on the mountain. Finn did really well and especially loved the burgers and fries in the lodge...
Here come the cheeks...
Elias at 5 weeks - filling out nicely! At his 1-month check-up he tipped the scales at 11 pounds, 7 ounces - up 4 pounds from when we left the hostpital. He's 75th percentile for height, 90th for weight...
